Hi everyone,
I hope I am in the correct forum to ask this question. Can anyone give me an example of how to do an aspect display in a 3d cabview? I have just gone through all 39 pages of posts here and have not seen anything about cab signals yet. Are they not yet supported or if so could someone post an animation example and instructions for them. Please I have been trying to figure out how to do them for the last 3 days and am about out of Ideas. Thanks in advace

There is a hungarian DMU set which has this implemented.
Here http://vm15.hu/download.php?view.357 you can download the trainsets;
here http://vm15.hu/download.php?view.353 you can download the cab;
here http://vm15.hu/download.php?view.354 you can download the sound.
I tested it, and it works.
You can try to derive how the author solved this.

I notice in the Hungarian cab model (fantastic 3d cab). The cab can be changed to the rear cab of the locomotive using Ctrl E. In a steam engine, we only have one cab, but we may want to move around in it. Would it be possible, I wonder, to use the Ctrl E function in a steam engine model to offer two cab views of the same cab? This would enable the user to get a view from the right hand side or the left, for instance. Or to simulate the fireman's view.
Just a thought.

I found out that this works already! You can have two 3d cab positions on a steam engine, and use ctrl E to change between them.
Only, it doesn't work in the version with mouse control in the 3d cab, only the stable release version without mouse control. In the new version, (I'm using x4074), the game crashes with an error message.
I am guessing that the code required to give mouse control is not able to accommodate a new view position inside the 3d cab.

Can you provide a logfile and the two .cvf files?

Yes, I can do that. Shall I send them to you directly, or post the files here?
Edit:
Having now studied the manual (who would have thought to do this?), I now see that the driver's position can be changed using the Alt + arrow keys, and pageup and down. So there is no need for the Ctrl E function in a steam engine cab.
So please forgive me for not reading the manual.

Hello all :) I tried sifting back through all the old posts on this topic, so apologies if I missed this somewhere... In OR 3D cabs, are handbrake animations supported? I've attempted to animate a hand brake wheel which has a prominent position in my Mason Bogie steam locomotive model but haven't had any luck getting it to work so far. If it is animated, can someone confirm the proper model hierarchy name for the hand brake, and the name that would be used in the 3D .cvf file?
Thanks!
Thanks!

In my knowledge, the handbrake of a loco has no animation.
It is a pity. because I need that badly.

How do I limit the movement of the head-viewpoint so that it can't move out of the cabin?
