Which FFEDIT are you using?
If you're using the MSTS one there's more stuff in the folder it needs.
I put a copy of FFEDITC_UNICODE.EXE and the other files from FFEDIT in the SFM folder so I wouldn't lose it.

Just mentioning this for anyone interested !! There is a converter called " TheBatchman.x86.zip " that converts the HTA files to EXE . It's a simple " easy to use " small app that works very well . Search for " Hta converter thebatchman.x86 " on your browser .

Just a Suggestion !
Rod

Batchman will turn it into an .exe that will open but it won't compress/uncompress.

Doesn't FFEDIT_SUB do the compress/uncompress ?

I've considered, more than once, of making an application that does the same things as SFM (likely with same or similar code) but that won't be an .HTA.

If you are so inclined and find the time --- I'm sure it would be beneficial, especially if it ran under the new op systems. Lot of work? I have no clue!
I'm still poking around trying to get a handle on the problem, Randy may be correct in that I'm missing some dependencies .... Maybe Ged Slipperman will have something when he checks back in.
Currently trying to find my original copy of the MSTS version of ffeditc.

Update, got it to work. I'm not sure if it was missing components of FFEDIT or the actual shape files...still looking into this. Tried the texture mode on other shapes, and the texture mode adjustment box opened, appeared correct, and worked correctly. All boxes had radio buttons. Thanks to Randy and all for help.

SFM calls some utilities for compress/uncompress.
Win10 prevents them to run without user's confirmation, so I have to answer "Yes" - then it works.

I've noticed that win 10 is a lot stricter about account permissions and if the user account that you are using doesn't have all administrative privileges required then you will constantly be asked for them .

Just Thought !
