@Rod:
How can updates be turned off (for me, they are turning on automatically almost every time I start computer the next time)
@Pete:
I use SFM to transform models proportions and shift their pivots. Which alternative does exist to do that (if any)?
TSRE shows some model's textures in distorted way and crashes, while opening some other models, to desktop.
Since its development is being stopped, where's any guarantee, it would run further under win12?

There are programs available that convert HTA to EXE. I used one a few years ago, but don't remember which one I used.
Ive tried two programs to convert HTA to Exe but the file produced is corrupt
Can anyone convert the SRM25.HTA to EXE for me?
Thanks

From Wikipedia,
An HTML Application (HTA) is a Microsoft Windows program whose source code consists of HTML, Dynamic HTML, and one or more scripting languages supported by Internet Explorer, such as VBScript or JScript. The HTML is used to generate the user interface, and the scripting language is used for the program logic. An HTA executes without the constraints of the internet browser security model; in fact, it executes as a "fully trusted" application.
HTAs give the developer the features of HTML together with the advantages of scripting languages. They are popular with Microsoft system administrators who use them for system administration from prototypes to "full-scale" applications, especially where flexibility and speed of development are critical. HTAs are dependent on the Trident (MSHTML) browser engine, used by Internet Explorer, but are not dependent on the Internet Explorer application itself. If a user removes Internet Explorer from Windows, via the Control Panel, t he MSHTML engine remains and HTAs continue to work. HTAs continue to work in Windows 11 as well.
Looks like we're good with Win 11, even without IE.

Not sure, but there's gotta be a problem somewhere. Microsoft.
I'll throw together a Win 11 test machine and check compatibilities.
I use Shapeviewer, SFM, Aceit, Routeriter and occasionally TgaToolA.
It'll be nice to be able to continue.

I've found one problem with SFM in Win10 on my setup...was looking for ways to remove model shine and found the information below, showing the texture mode box....my setup does not have any radio buttons, texture mode is inop. Texture Mode box appears with boxes -- normal - darkshd etc all jammed together, no way to choose any mode. Suggestions for what I should look for?

Shape File Manager 25.
SFM25 will uncompress the .s file and let you change texture modes.

Hi Gerry,
I have both SFM v2.4 and v2.5 and each shows the texture modes and allows them to be changed.
Question - where is your Shape File Manager installed? If it's in C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86) that might be the problem.
Cheers,
Ged

Randy, screenshot of what my texmode box looks like. Ged, screenshots of location, indications are that SFM25 is opened with Microsoft HTML application host. I threw in a screenshot of my FFEDIT_Sub folder just in case.
