I support the idea of grey color for inactive trains.

In timetable mode on New Forest Route, the cyan trains shown are inactive trains with power units. Their status may be static in the code : I don`t know. Maybe the consists Chris sees in the Demo have power units? In Chris previous timetable viewer these inactive trains were shown in a dull colour. Inactive trains are waiting for a future start time. They are not quite the same as static trains
Consists without power are not shown at all. They are invisible. these maybe :
1) static units given $static in the #start field
2) Units detached from trains. These get an internal number such as S103-00. The sim knows they are static because they can be picked up bythe /static modifier to the $pickup command
Signals will also react to their presence
If you watch a locomotive with wagons $detach units, the detached items diappear even though they are present in game,
I am sure it is important to show non power units in all game modes

That is strange, as no distinction is made in static trains in timetable mode between trains with or without power. The traintype STATIC is not used in timetable mode, but the movement state is set to AI_STATIC.

I'm sorry I cannot provide any assistence at the moment. Due to a crash of my laptop, I cannot run OR nor access the code. I am still waiting for info if repair is possible, if not I have to get myself a new laptop. Either way, it may be some weeks before I have everything fully set up and running again.

Regards,
Rob Roeterdink

U2023.08.28-1707 All static consists are now visible in timetable mode. This will be very useful. Thank you Looky.

Sorry to hear of your laptop Rob I hope you can fix it . If not there are some used gaming laptops available that are discarded by gamers, yet very suitable for ORTS

With MGVer145 I keep getting unhandled exceptions ( some even crash the sim ) -- cannot seem to reliably replicate them...they do always happen when using mouse to move map around or enlarge/diminish the map. This used to happen in the early releases of the map window...not recently until the new map was coded. Apologies for not being more helpful.

Hmm, that's odd. Could you please send me a logfile?

Looky's modifications aren't present in ORNYMG. At the moment ExRail's ones (see http://www.elvastowe...w-dark-moddded/ ) are included.

It was definitely ORNYMG v145, the exception happened three times, did not notice anything in the log...there was a window that opened up but I don't have the software installed required to utilize the window for troubleshooting.

Why isn't there an in-game route elevation chart in the Map Window? With siding or mileage markers included. I think that would be useful, a substitute for experience if you have never run the route.
