That is one weird looking K27 Capn. I've been lurking around mostly lately. I've re-discovered my love of ATSF std gauge. I'm still a narrow gauger though, and follow whats happening here. And looking forward to OR's possibilities. Oh yeah, and please get the compressor sounds right. They're easy enough to change, but it would be nice if they came from your shop correct. Thanks for doing what you do.

Hi'ya George, I haven't noticed the compressor sounds of late, so cannot comment at present. Here is a screen shot showing the new cab in the sim, in version 101. Note the line of rivets on the roof.

Further tweaks to rivets and other things. Small issues, but vital to my peace of mind.

Here is an updated render, showing new cab doors and other minor tweaks.

After seven minutes processing, it works fine in V101 of the sim.

So Capt.

What's the poly count up to now? I'm interested to know as I have a project in mind that would require plenty of detail to look
right. Is 30,000 plus possible without using a freight animation. Would be nice if this were possible.

What is OR version 101? Is this the same version that was available around the first of the year?

Allen,
I'll let THE Captain reply on the poly count. But 30K plus is not a problem without a freight anim, nor subobjects. About OR versions, v22 was the last download release late last year. We're well beyond v101 and moving ahead. Stay tuned for more info in the coming weeks.

Allen,
I've spent the last few months really busy at work, but have found the time to get most of the way thru a redo the of the EM-1 drivers. Each driver pair has over 320 individually textured polys - tedious - because TSM just won't map the textures the way I want. I need to take a break from that for a while.

Started on your "Y" project. That's the next one out of the shop.

Hi'ya Allen,

The poly count is over twice that....68,874. No FA. Single LOD. 10 textures. This is the hybrid K27/37, I'm experimenting with. The K37 itself has a lot of detail, which I'm adding to the K27 mule to see what happens before I attempt the K37 proper.
