Mr. Goku:
Please explain to the ORTS team how to do this nice shadowing.
Regards.

Hello,
Shadows in OR are MUCH better than MSTS ever had.
There is a problem with dynamic shadows being a little blurry when long view distances are set in OR options.
My view distance is set to 9600m and I find them not objectionable.
regards,
vince

If someone want to see the shadows: http://koniec.org/ts...SRE5_v0.633.zip
- dynamic shadows
- some bug fixes
It is experimental version. Shadows can't be disabled.

Hi,
Thanks for the fix.
Summitville NY on the NYO&W
SummitvilleTSRE5.jpg (1.07MB)
Number of downloads: 26
and the bridge over the D&H Canal there

This is too cool.http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/jawdrop2.gif I don't model the truss bridges as individual parts, I use tga artwork for the truss panels and other bracing to keep the poly count down. Yet there is the shadow of the truss and bracing like those were individual parts.
Top notch Goku, top notch.

Shadows in TSRE are truly dynamic versus those generic blob shadows that trees get in OR.

I think, Open Rails respects StaticFlags shadow value and displays dynamic shadows only for objects that have dynamic shadow enabled.
In my app all objects have dynamic shadows (I think it is better), but in the future there will be option to show dynamic shadows only for objects with dynamic shadow enabled.

Wersion with shadows has a bug inside shader file that takes 10-50% fps.
Open shaders/standardbloom.fs and replace line:
for (int i=0; i<shadowsEnabled; i++){
with:
if(shadowsEnabled == 4)
for (int i=0; i<4; i++){
