I think such graphical magic is unnecessary for an editor.

I do. Visual feedback of the setting is important. If I turn a shadow on in an editor, I want to see it. It doesn't have to be high quality.

I'm betting it's a signalling problem. If the route loads in R.E but won't in AE or MSTS, thats normally the case. If you have no signals in the route, then it's another problem.

Specifically, if you have an INFO, REPEATER, or SHUNTING type signal head facing a blue pole (without any NORMAL or DISTANCE types at the same location or in-between) then the AE and game will freeze.

Alternately, improper SignalType coding can cause the game to freeze. Make sure all function calls have parenthesis after them, all variables are defined, etcetera.

Hi,

In the terrain painting mode, will there be a way to mirror the terrtex like we can in the MSTS RE? It does not require the 4 directions MSTS had for the mirroring, just the ability to mirror it, and then rotate it as you currently have the rotation set up.

A compass bearing that can be toggled on and off as in the MSTS game and ORTS would be useful, at least during the initial stages of terrain setup. Once I've laid track I can usually figure out which way I'm aimed. Though I do transpose a number now and then in the lat/long numbers and jump into an area I don't recognize.

A way to read the elevation of the 3d cursor. I use the placement cross in MSTS to read the elevation for lakes and such, then use that (those) numbers to decide on a water plane elevation(s). The plural is for when I have to tip the plane for a river.

Thanks for posting that screen grab Walt.

Doug Relyea

I told you earlier that better is to not place signals now. Your signal config is too advanced for TSRE now. It is nothing wrong to build the route first, and do the signals later when TSRE will handle your sigcfg properly.

So do I need to build a new route or can we make this route run in MSTS AE? I have told you that for the first segment with signals and sceneries, I have run the route by creating an activity in MSTS AE. The second segment with signals and sceneries added to the issue. You may say it is a signal issue...Sometimes later others will also be messed up with the same issue...

That was the case. I removed nearest signals to the track end and his route loads fine in AE:

It is a signal issue. It may be TSRE bug, or your lack of knowledge how to place signals. I think it is both. Just delete the signals.

Nice! Do you have plans to turn your editor in to a 3D activity editor? You could see activities play out in real time, switch between world editor and activity editor. Much like RailWorks which also features consist building in real time and not in 2D.

Hello!
Bravo Mr Goku. Very realistic
But....Do somebody can give you a better texture for your tracks? (It is a joke indeed.)
Thank you.
