Is it ok that OR NY MG boot times are twice (approximately) longer than the unstable version?

Regards
Oleg

Sometimes when i click the start button, sometimes it takes a few seconds to load and display loading screen. If you are reffering to this. I soppose it is normal. I see no difference in gamplay.

You must select the 'Logging' box under the 'Options' button and the 'OpenRailsLog.txt' file will appear on the desktop

If you have Open Rails inside the Program Files folder, move it to any other disk you have or to the root of C:

The loading time of the same Timetable Activity is 34 minutes on unstable version and more than one hour when I am running it at NY MG. Is it some way to make the time short? Something to change in options maybe?

Regards
Oleg

Seriously? 34 min waiting?
So what would be your computer specs? And what OS are you using?

Oleg,
are you running OR at 64 bit or 32 bit? If you are running at 64 bit, try running it at 32 bit and check if the loading time reduces. Are you using the latest Unstable release? I don't have other ideas.

Hello!

Despite moving the OR_NewYear_MG folder and all its contents to another drive, in this case E:, I get exactly the same error window. Afterwards, the program closes.

Several people have reported this situation through the Open Rails website and the solution has been to disable the anti-virus checker.

Windows 10 has a built-in anti-virus checker (Windows Defender) and Microsoft updates it on-line. It appears to be getting more aggressive and interfering in products that it used to ignore.

Please disable Windows Defender and try again. Bear in mind that Windows Defender turns itself back on after a few hours.

Let us know the outcome.

Hello!

I already said that I use Win 7 Ultimate 64 bits. My antivirus is Avast.

However, I'll try it out and see what happens.

Thanks!
