I really like what I'm seeing here. If I wasn't working on my own route, I would most certainly be doing some modifications to this one. What an impressive piece of work this is! We are fortunate that Malte took it upon himself to build this. It's got a wow factor of ten.
I'm glad he put in the 7th street surface yards for mail and express under the elevated structure.
I see some places that need certain buildings, such as the small diner that was right next to the mail tracks.
I'm thinking of plopping my "The Hideout" seedy little corner bar right here. Anyway, this route is fantastic and tickles my heart. What a joy it is for this ol' PE crazy.
Love the LARY PCC's seen around the city, very nice touch!
Lots of iconic backgrounds, too, like the gasometers near the 8th Street yards.
Amoco Tower and the junction with the Santa Monica Air Line and Butte Street yard. Possible future extension out west, Malte? That would be so cool.
Well, I've burned enough bandwidth here, see ya!

This railroad A1t0.2mStrt.s hides very often. Thank you Herb, that you have already taken care of it. :sign_thanks:
In the future I will deliver the part with the next version. It is always annoying, if one is looking forward to driving on a new route and then something comes. :jawdrop2:

One of the neatest bonuses to the Watts line is that you can pop into it, get a PE fix and be back to work on other projects. It's short and sweet and keeps your interest! Pure PE Fun! Not saying an expansion in any direction wouldn't be grand, mind you. :) :bigboss:

(cough-Santa Monica Air Line) :whistling:
Yep, it's short but sweet right now, and I look forward to further development, too. But I've barely scratched the surface of the route as it stands now. Lots to see here!

Never mind...by the time of this route's intended period, Summer of 1953, that diner was gone, making more room for motor coach storage.

All the more reason to backdate it a bit! And yes, you are right Tim: LOTS of things to see and enjoy. Malte has done a wonderful job. :clapping: :bigboss:

Yes he has! I went ahead and put the cafe/bar in. The heck with the buses! And as luck would have it, it's painted in official PE building colors. ;)
I also put a Standard Station on the Corner of 6th and San Pedro.
This removed the tallish building on the corner that serves as a view block to hide open country that we're "not supposed to see". But The Standard gas station was there, as well as a Mobil gas station across from it, but that would open up too many empty lots behind and the roadway which ends just beyond. Malte has done a neat job of stage-setting and crafting illusion. Note LA City Hall back there! :thumbup3:

There is a new release of Xtracks coming up soon and I will make sure to include that pesky piece of track in the new release. This will be build V3.21. First new release in many years for Xtracks.
