Hi Goku,

This is really impressive, and I thank you very much for the effort. :sign_thanks:

If I could make a few suggestions and comments...

1. Could the texture brush have a few more features? Such as
  • A Hardness slider - (How fuzzy or sharp the brush is.)
  • A Follow track database option- For painting ballast in a straight line along track.
  • A circle on the ground showing how wide the brush is overall.

2. I've found a few bugs.
  • Sometimes the Terrain does not render properly. (Do not know if this is fixable.)
    Attached File  Terrain Error.jpg (1.37MB)
    Number of downloads: 50
  • Transfers do not adhere to the terrain correctly.
    Attached File  Transfer Error.jpg (1.54MB)
    Number of downloads: 54
  • Rolling Stock made into scenery has unusual selection boxes.
Attached File  Freight Car Error.jpg (1.81MB)
    Number of downloads: 53

So I have decided to make a quick manual to the new Editor! Feel free to download it and I plan on updating it as Goku works on updating the editor. I do know that this is NOT a finished product and not every thing is in there at the moment but it covers most of it. Please let me know if I am missing any thing and if there is any thing else I can add.

Thanks

Brandon

Brandon: thank you. I was thinking this was a service somebody could do to help the process and make it easier on Goku. It's very helpful.

Your welcome! I really made it for myself and a friend of mine who is trying to learn the new editor and I figured I might as well just attach it here so others can use it as well so we can all learn together on how this new editor works. I will be updating it as Goku goes on with the project and I find out how to use the editor better as time goes on.

Better put this manual on google drive and allow editing for everyone. Your version has lots of bugs, maybe someone fix them.

I was just going off of what I have learned so far and I know there are many more features that I did not list in the manual as I am still learning. Putting it on Google Drive I feel is not a good idea because then we will have everyone making changes as they would like and then we have multiple manuals for the same thing that say different things! Not quite sure what you mean by it has a bunch of bugs in it though. I do however know this was just a simple and quick manual I came up with just to help people with getting the keys down and the feeling of how your new editor works. Its kind of hard to figure out how everything works in the new editor when you haven't really said to anyone what buttons do what and how everything works. I know you put a little some thing about it when you first started this thread but I thought I would be nice and come up with a rough draft on how to use the editor to help others learn too throughout my experiences working with the editor so far. If anyone would like to help me out with the manual I would be more then happy to send it to them. If anyone would like to list other features I may not know about please let me know as I can very easily add them.

Hi Brandon,
Maybe working with Goku as you developed the manual would have produced better results? :clapping:

vince
and btw, he did explain the editor and it's buttons. Look in his first posts.
