....{I}n my mind the only thing that really needs final tuning steam wise is the smoke, which as we know isn't too bad but is still a work in progress....

The only other thing that is really needed for steam operation is a detent stop between Lap and Running on the train air controls on non-self-lapping brakes - so that when you hold down the semi-colon that it pauses at Lap. It is way too easy to lose your air set when trying to go to Lap and sliding right past it to Running. Now you're down several pounds and have no air set. Do that a couple of times and it's called a "runaway." :bigboss:

Captain - you are right, this updating thing has been borderline maddening at times... every little task seems to turn into a long drawn out ordeal to get done http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/tease.gif

But in spite of that, I have been continuing to plug along on these, and I'm pleased to say that the WP Mikados have been uploaded to the file library and are ready to be enjoyed ;) Now back to the tinkering with the articulateds... double the animation, double the parts to update, so does that mean double the fun? http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/lol.gif

The WP Mikados are fantastic Derek! One question though...how come #318's whistle isn't connected to anything? There's a metal bar hanging off of it... :dance3:

Hmmm.... that overly short whistle operating rod does make one wonder if it's actually functional or not doesn't it? http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/ko2.gif

Apologies to all for the oversight, and I'd like to say that I've just submitted an update to the file library on the download page for the Open Rails WP Mikados called "WPOR318_SHAPEUPDATE.zip". This contains a short readme and the updated shape file which has the short rod lengthened back to the cab like it should have been :)
