On my wish list is an additional steam table for Superheat.

Given the recent interest in steam over many threads, I'm keen that we make progress on steam physics rather than postpone to some future date when Wish List items might be implemented.

yes the Steam issue is the main reason I have not moved all of my work to OR. As soon as Steam Engine smoke is realistic as good as this i will be there.

Am curious as to why you suggest a table instead of just recording the S.H. surface area.

Great screen shots Cris.

AFAIK smoke in OR is a result of using something called particles -- which I understand to be mostly a GPU feature. There hasn't been anybody on the team for a very long time who spoke about his skills in that area... I expect that explains why it has remained what it is for so long.

It seems to come from two stacks, doesn´t it?

OR already has a lookup table for saturated steam which is very close to the table given in the Johnson book, The Steam Locomotive. The addition of a superheat table as well an indicator in an eng file would make the coding simpler.
