Hallo!
Fine shots of a fine engine! They show the atmosphere very well like the photos in my German edition of "The Last of Steam" by Joe G. Collias. (one of my two books about US steam) I found this book in a bargain bin some years ago. Since the arrival of MSTS it's one of my most used railroad books. Every time I get a new MSTS engine I take it from the shelf to find some more information.
Keep on steamin'!

Tim
I think those shots are just fine and have been added to the album :pleasantry: :clapping: :yahoo:
How do they run on your system.

Hallo!
My favorite testing ground, especially when it's Santa Fe, is Tehachapi. When I saw the orange trees beside the track I thought, "Why not make the east coast happy with a trainload of fruit?" So I made a consist of the two candidates and 50 loaded reefers, and off I went.
Getting ready at Caliente. (I always leave out the flat trip from Bakersfield to Caliente.)
Now it's gettig serious. Entering the horseshoe curve.
The train is accelerating to the 23 mph allowed on the pass. (In fact I was sometimes faster switching off the track monitor for the screens. So the engines have really got enough power.)
Now the hardest part of the job is done and the crew can play "Catch me if you can" with the railfans in their cars.
Result of the test: Allen's engines look and perform really great, no problems with the framerate. (I think the framerate dropping to 10 in camera #4 with some viewing angles is a result of the 50 Tim Muir reefers and not of the engines.) Next time I must start the downhill run from the summit to Mojave a little slower because it took me several miles to reduce speed from the allowed 60 to a limit of 40 mph. In an act I would have been thrown out.
@Allen: You see, your engines have won against work, as I said!
Keep on steamin'!

Hello everbody
Boy! How do you guy's take such great screen shots. Have you got a special camera or sumpin!
I might have to retire my old decrepidated ATI card. Anyway! Those are great shots Dietmar. I have
a few more teasers but they can't compare to those. Hopefully by mid week they will be ready to release.
Please excuse the use of the SP engine house but I couldn't think of a better place to do this. Route is the
3DTrainstuff's Donner Pass.
