I don't want you to take what I said the wrong way. I didn't say you couldn't paint it. In fact I'm
looking forward to having you paint my lokey. But for now a few people like it this way. And it is summer here.

No worries Allen, its a good idea to get the Gimme, Gimme club off your back with a version 1. I have almost finished the engine and the tender will take minutes tomorrow from the engines aces. Richard Cowen uses a particular texture on his paintbrush and one can use such a thing to take the paintwork on a step further sometime in the future.

While writing does anyone remember the name of the author of that ATSF 2-10-10-2? I reckon we should try and contact him and ask if we can do anything. I vaguely remember a TS forum post way back

Hi everybody

Here are some shots from "Bob Wirth's" Saligman Subdivision and "3dTrainstuff's" Cajon Pass
of #2926 and a string of "Tim Muir" georgeous SantaFe reefers and two of "Dean Kurowski's"
WRX Seymour Canning Co Reefer repaints. A nice string of cars. I always loved those billboard
reefers behind steam.

Obviously you using Glosmap or specular shine. Is there a way to have
a little less shine. With the shine you have in the pix I would think it would need to be much more to
the black than a gray. And it does look like I would have to do a lot of remapping.

Unfortunately, there's nothing in between. In the shape file, the specular lighting effects mid range is 4 - 5 - 6, with 5 being the middle of the range, TransNorm, which is dull normal lighting. The next number 6 is too 'glossy', IMO, but okay for wheel treads. Maybe the new sim will give us a better range of lighting graduations.

Cheers Bazza

Hello Locopainter ( do You have a proper name? I thinks I missed it. )

This is just Why I'm not destined to be a Billionaire, because I would buy that and bring it back to full working order. That is such a sad sight.

Hi Tony

Looks like your having fun. You got that just in time cause it doesn't look like that anymore.
The front is round now and the front has two doors, one inside the other with lugs around the
edges of the doors. Also the drivers are more defined around the periphery with less glaring
rims. also worked on the rods making them look less spindly. All in all I'm just making some
visual improvements. Glad your enjoying. :sign_welcome: :D
