I was able to convert a few more of my models that I am currently working on into Blender as well. Here are the results and I hope you guys like what you see so far! I will have a lot to learn with Blender but at least I will have something to work with once I get the hang of it. I will obviously have to redo all of the textures and animation for all of them but my hope is they will turn out better then they would have if finished up in TSM along with possibly collaborating with others who also use Blender.

Note: this is how I started with Blender... convertting my old models from 3D Canvas.

Thank you! I have to give credit where Credit is due though! These models would not be possible without the help of an old modeler himself Allen Norton who helped me learn the ropes of TSM years ago along with Scott who has been helping me out and giving me tips in Blender! I hope to return the favor to a younger generation of modelers some day along with give some life to these models once I figure out Blender.

Hm, B&O guy's models are impressive for me.
I'm feeling happy, seeing You've got enough of courage to make that step as soon.
Would wish You to have a happy exciting journey with Blender and peers support.

Well I think the 261 deserves to be re released after I get the textures and animation figured out! It just looks so much more crisp and clean in Blender VS TSM! I hope to even include a custom 3D Cab with the updated version as well.

FYI: I'm personally holding back on using 4.0 and sticking with 3.6 LTS release for a while longer... for stability sake and the fact that 4.x is getting updates pretty fast at the moment...

The Backward compatability issues is also a bit of a concern.

Yes, I have found you can load a 3.6 model into 4.0. But a model saved in 4.0 doesn't open right in 3.6. So if you use 4.0 to open and save a model. You can't go back to using 3.6 on that file ( without a bunch of workarounds ).

I think most of the 4.0 improvements are more benefit to film makers and video animations more so than for real time modelers.
