I have tried to reproduce the AMMETER problem, but it works well here on a control car.

Thanks ;-)
Is it possible too share youre .eng, .cvf files (locomotive & steeringcar ) here for look, how you do it for have correct AMMETERS on steeringcars?
Than i can check with my files, for do test again.
In advance thanks, Greetz

Hello Carlo,
I have test, but for moment the speedneedles were UpdateTime and Precision are used, stay on zero value now.

Thanks, it works back now ;-), so this is solved :-)
But the problem that i have with AMMETERs on non powered steeringcars & EP brake/bailoff is still an issue.

Stijn

I have tested the trainset that you provided to me and, yes, there is the problem. I verified that the problem is there also in the official stable OR 1.5.1, while it is not there in stable OR 1.4.
I debugged the problem and saw that it comes out from the way AxleForceN is computed. This is complex trainset physics, that I don't master, so, unless someone that knows that part of code (which is within Axle.cs) intervenes, you will have to live with this. You can file a bug report in Launchpad.

Can we not see in Github who have mod this code?
And in that time, is it not possible too made a new cabviewcontrol like example AMMETER_ORS ( ORTS STEERINGCAR => ORS is for have same layout like AMMETER_ABS )
The idea => AMMETER_ORS can we place in .cvf files of cabviews of EMU, steeringcars, en must read the leadlocomotive(s) information.
I think the actual AMMETER & AMMETER_ABS read only the information of the piece where cabine is in service. ( local piece, and not from whole train ), with piece i mean unit.

I found a quick and dirty(or not?) fix for your problem. If you download and build my just updated source code, it should work now.
I inserted a check to recognize what could be "old style" control cars, that is if the supposed locomotive has MaxPowerW < 20000 and MaxForceN < 2000 and MaxContinuousForceN < 2000, it is considered an "MSTS" control car, and to it Simple Adhesion is applied (in fact Advanced Adhesion is essentially about motive forces, which are absent in a control car), and with Simple Adhesion the Ammeters work correctly.
To me the problem is closed here. I'm not sure whether this would be accepted or not for the official OR, so at the moment it remains only for ORNYMG.

Thank You the great for the fix, because there are so many pre-2010 models of EMU and DMU trainsets, push-pull trains, using de-powered *.eng-configurations for having cabs possible in actually powerless end cars.
