My initial idea was a cylindrical bundle of logs with the pivot in the middle, so the bottom half is submerged into the car or ground. It would be the visual compromise to simulate the log bundle settling onto a flat surface while still looking like gravity acts upon it when in the air.

But yes, I can see many more possibilities beond containers with this system in the future. :)
