Hi!
The Tunnel icon indicates only the start of the tunnel if there are no PDEs. If PDEs are present, the icon indicates the tunnel section between one PDE and the next one.
There are also icons that indicate the presence of bridges, for example.
I would ask Cesar if the use of limit speed values in the planning area is a temporary solution and will then be replaced by the appropriate icons, as in reality.

Paolo

This version is targeting ETCS version 3, the newest, so there will be some visible differences:
  • Non stopping areas due to tunnel and bridge have been merged into a single track condition with a 0X symbol.
  • Speed reductions are shown in the planning both as a symbol (although it's not seen in the cabs due to the resolution problem I mentioned before) and as a number.
  • When in target speed monitoring, the gauge color over the target speed is always yellow.

In the future I might add the possibility to handle older versions, but I prefer to have at least one working version first.

This is what it would look like at full resolution:

When downscaling the DMI, the quality of the symbols is reduced. There must be some way to solve this, as if I reduce the resolution via Gimp/Photoshop, the result is much better, but I haven't found an easy solution yet.

Hi César,
I noticed only now a significant problem I have with your latest release (23 Nov. 18:52). It takes control of the whole screen, even if I don't activate the planning area, and so it blanks out all the parts used by the national system that are located before the Speedometer Digital block that activates the ETCS display. I can't move everything of the national system after the Speedometer Digital block, because not everything is generated with frames, which allow a transparent state.
The problem does not occur in your commit dated 23 Nov. 16:03. I hope there is a solution to this.

RE the reduced resolution symbols, for some of them I have downsized them with Gimp and then I have corrected them with the pencil tool, getting acceptable results.

My intention was not to paint the background by default, but I forgot to add the check. Please use the version I've just uploaded and sorry for the inconvenience.

That's OK now, thank you.

I found a way to display the symbols at lower resolutions with good results. The fix is available in GitHub.

Well done, it's much better now, see picture:

The + appears now, as well as the triangles showing speed increase or decrease; the small horizontal segments above or below the triangles instead sometimes appear and sometimes don't (they didn't appear at all before).
