Apologies for the menu bugs, everyone. I think the latest unstable build, U2020.07.28-0251, is finally in a state fit for general consumption and testing.

To demonstrate the new .train-or format, I have attached some sample files, which you drop in your CONSISTS folder. They include three randomized trains, all using stock MSTS equipment:

  • A 24-car centerbeam train with randomized red/yellow/loaded/unloaded variants. Choose between GP38 and SD40-2 power.
  • A 50-car intermodal and TOFC train with randomized red/blue and loaded/unloaded/flipped variants. Fixed Dash 9 power.
  • A 7-car Northeast Regional trainset that has a 50/50 chance of spawning with either a Phase III or Acela Regional livery. Fixed HHP-8 power.

For a few versions including U2020.07.28-0251 the friction part of the variable weight function is broken, the HUD shows no friction for such vehicle at all loads and speeds; mostly steam engine tenders.

Sorry, m61, but I don't understand. The train is spawning, but the cab is not working?

In the last version, unstable a .con file also has no cab, no brakes and the locomotive cannot be moved - while in the test (weekly) version, the locomotives work properly.

The second tender does not have variable weight settings, but the first one... Which shows no friction.
