There is no difference in FPS on my machine, Desktop with an I5, 8GB memory and an Nvidia GTX 750Ti. The monogame version is using slightly less resources, does not recognise my Nvidia card and makes a " pigs ear " of the sky.

Did you check the older monogame version, not the latest?

It seems that you have Vertical sync option checked, do you?

@Goku

I am using the versions supplied by Csantucci in this thread. I always use the latest available.

@ isvanek
Yes I do have vertical synch checked with the option also active in my video card settings for OR.

So you don't understand my question. It was about fps dirrerence between monogame versions.

I noticed that I was wrong: there is no crash bug for OR in the actual MG development version (although there is a shader rendering malfunction that I have communicated to the MG people). After noticeable efforts I was able to have a running OR version (with defects I think) for the MG dev version dated Oct 5th, 2017 (that is a very recent one).
You can download it here http://interazioni-e...G1710052210.zip .
I must confess I'm not satisfied with the frame rates, however first I wanted to be aligned to the actual MG state of the art.

So this is why you didn't see any difference in FPS. With vertical sync enabled FPS rate is limited to your monitor refresh rate (which is 60Hz)

Hi Carlo,

I see some major differences in FPS, between the Open Rails X3960 and the new OR_3960_MG1710052210.zip.
After a lot of experiments with the Monogame versions of OR, I have managed to match the graphics quality of my normal OR installation, but with the Monogame versions, I see higher FPS.
A couple of screenshots for now, but I will report back with some other findings.
