The same way you would if you were on the table except you have to switch to manual mode (Ctrl M) first. Make your turntable move then switch back out of manual mode.

You also might have to pull up to the turntable first depending on how far away your engine house is.

Hi vince,
the turntable's texture file must be located in the route's texture folder and not in the global texture folder.
I have created a test route where I inserted a working Travis Ebner 42m turntable.
You can download it from here
Train Simulator_turntable42m.zip
unpack it within your Train Simulator folder and look at files turntables.dat and turntable42m.trk for your reference.
In file turntables.dat you must only adapt to your case the WFile and the UiD lines (and add a second Turntable block and modifying the initial 1 to a 2, if you have two turntables).
To adapt to your case file turntable42m.trk must be renamed accordingly to your .trk filename, and the internal include line must be edited accordingly.
Pls. note that the base .trk file (the one in the route's folder) must not have an empty line after the last parenthesis, else the include mechanism does not work (found out this today...)

Carlo, I downloaded, installed and placed the 42 meter turntable piece on a route. It is perfect. But I have a little problem: the route I need it on (due to the length of steam locomotives with tender) is metric gauge. Would there be the possibility of creating a new piece, with the corresponding official addition to the tsection, of this same piece with the tracks modified to metric gauge? The only operation I have is 16 meters and the locomotives are not able to fully enter, unfortunately. I managed to modify the piece "VM1tPlaca20.s", four meters longer, but the steam locomotives with tender were still unable to enter comfortably, in addition to some problem with the height of the shape that, on its perimeter sidewalk, covers ten meters of rails. Someday, too, I hope to be able to implement the concept of turntable in timetable. I still don't know what I am missing to understand it.

Leo,
surely it is possible, but you should find someone doing it. By the way it is not necessary that this enters into the official tsection.dat, because in OR you can create route-related tsection.dat extensions.

I'm trying to replace the shape of the 27m turntable with my static drawing. I have no example to work from so I've been trying to guess where the MAIN part of the drawing (the pit) is centered on my TS Modeler drawing, if it is supposed to be offset half the diameter of my bridge on the Z axis and centered to the origin, and the bridge offset as well. Also, if the bridge is offset, is the animation also offset. I tried a dozen combinations yesterday and some had the bridge rotating but at the point of origin, others the sim would not recognize as a turntable.
Any help would be appreciated.

Does your turntable.dat file look like this?
Turntable(
WFile ( "w-011207+014352.w" )
UiD ( 397 )
XOffset ( 0 )
YOffset ( -1.92177 )
ZOffset ( 13.4 )
TrackShapeIndex ( 253 )
Animation ( "TRACKPIECE" )
Diameter ( 27 )
)
This contains the offset for the middle of the table.

I've been using this SD file. I just tried to place the table TSRE5 and it's pointing in the right direction but instead of connecting the end of the bridge to the enginehouse lead track, it's connecting about half way between the end of the bridge and the center.

I'm having trouble trying to install a turntable complement for a route. I followed the instructions the author gave but I still get this error whenever I get near the (single) turntable area:

Release 1.3.1.4328 is outdated. You should run the actual official testing release or the OR NewYear MG one. You should attach the whole OpenRailsLog.txt file, as well as the .s file of the turntable.

Hello, in the route of Spain, Catalunya v 2.0, there are two turntables "together" in Vilanova.
The two work separately but together only one of them works.
Is there a way for both of them to work?
Thanks.
