Switching to manual mode at speed

As of now it is possible to switch at speed from manual mode to auto mode.
The opposite is not possible; it is required that the train is stopped.
I would like to remove this limitation, which would allow to change player train path (e.g. letting it entering a siding) with the train on the move.
Are there comments on that?

It can be a nice improvement. In some situations, the path is correctly set to enter in a shunting area but the shunting signal show Stop. A switch to manual mode at speed can improve the total duration of the shunting movement.

I would certainly approve of the move.
I have many situations while switching where I would like to go manual on the move.

YES, :I-Agree: From a users standpoint. This would be especially helpful when dealing with activities that need on the fly work arounds. OR is so flexible that many times I can wrangle the activities to work properly without having to resort to using the AE. This would provide another tool.

Hmm, surprised you can switch mode at speed at all. If you can switch in one direction you should be able to do the other, so I'd say we try it and see if there are any actual issues.

I was just doing a preliminary check to see at one point the speed is checked. If this is one of the those checks then check line# 5097 in Train.cs. Hopefully this can be done because I was wondering the same thing.
