I forgot to mention, if you don't already have it, you will also need the UKFS track set.

Tried V4 out on X3360 in the 3D Transtuff TEHII route with scenery enhancement by 3DTrains, (only have North American Routes) can report that like Dorset most trees are moved from the ROW but in a run between Caliente and Monolith found 1 instance of trees under a bridge still and a tree blocking a tunnel entrance (prior to this a lot of tunnels had blocked entrances) and 3 or 4 instances of trees still near enough for their boughs to be over the track, 4 pics follow showing the blocked tunnel, bridge with trees underneath coming up through it and a couple of shots of the trees very close with boughs over the line, all with the ORTS Co-ordinates showing.

Hi Burgerben,
what would interest me are primarily the OR coordinates (tile numbers and x, y, z) of such points. Could you repeat the same pictures with the debug extended HUD on top of them. The debug extended HUD shows also he OR coordinates.

Here we go, i have only run between Caliente and Monolith but on that stretch these 4 are the only probs whereas before there were around 15 from memory.

Thank you. I believe I have solved the problem. In post #11 you can find an updated version. I couldn't test it so much because of problems with my computer, but as far as I could test it does work. The two trees on the Dorset route are away.

Is this fix meant only for single trees or will it also work if the S file has a group of trees and 1 or 2 trees of the group overhang the tracks. Thanks for the effort in fixing this problem.

Updated download file now available in post #11.
This fix is only for trees belonging to forests. So it is not for .s files, as these behave the same in MSTS and OR, and it is supposed that the route builder has not laid down shapes on the tracks.

Update,

just tried V5 with X3363 and can report with reference to the 4 pics i posted with the debug hud showing in post no 46 that in

Pic 1: the overhanging tree has almost cleared the track, now only about 2 feet overhang (that side of the tree has longer limbs than the other side)

Pic 2: with the tree on the right side that is now clear completely. i dont even remember noticing it on two trips up the path testing.

Pic 3: the bushes under and poking through the bridge is unchanged, it is exactly as per the pic above. No change there

and Pic 4: the blocked tunnel is completely clear as per new pic below
