I have perceisly done just that. Taken the stuff from .610, added the .6111 .exe, renamed it TSRE5.exe, and still have problems.

-ma nieco więcej funkcji niż 611, ale nie pamiętam, co to jest .. . niektóre nowe elementy sterujące i może być zdolność do tworzenia nowych połączeń zgodnych ze starym RE i gry.

Have you previously installed the Version 0.601 0.610? If you're downloading TSRE5_v0.611.exe it won't work on its own, it needs the libraries supplied with v0.601 v0.610. If this is the case, download and unpack TSRE5_v0.610.zip which contains these libraries and replace TSRE5.exe in the contained TSRE5 folder with TSRE5_v0.611exe. You can then move the whole ensemble to any convenient location in your directory structure.

Hmm... I did not know that. In fact I had v.501 installed. I got rid of that one, and downloaded and installed .610, then TSRE5_611.exe and .6111. Neither of the new .exe files will open a route. It still crashes, but at least now I get the "failed to work" error instead of completely closing. If it's working for you then it should work for me. I'll investigate some more. I'm missing something somewhere.

Thanks,

I have three different versions in my tsre5 folder and they all work. Picture shows what is in the folder. Running Win 10.

That's the same setup that works for me.

I notice that my installation of the route editor doesn't have zlib1.dll in the root folder. Should I be worried about this? I find a file by this name in a couple of other places in my system, including various adobe programs.

That file came with the original version 0.5 and 0.501. It has not been included with any of the version 0.6 files, so I am not sure if it is even needed.

Zlib1.dll is a compression library used for compressing/uncompressing msts files. Now I'm using built in version from QT so zlib1.dll is not needed now.

Meanwhile while waiting for new version of route editor, try new consist editor:
http://koniec.org/ts...SRE5_v0.612.zip

I wanted to release it with new version of RE, but it is ready for over two months and I think it is better to release it now. RE 0.612 includes support for terrain quadtree, moving objects by mouse, ctrl-C + ctrl+V etc.
