Hey Goku, unfortunately I have to say using your route editor to make speed posts, crashes ORTS. I am using the current(to my knowledge) 0.610v of your editor, and upon trying to edit speed limits on the PRR Eastern Region, it acts like it loads up, sound starts, but the moment it tries to kick in the simulator, it crashes. Attached is a log, as for the .trk and such files, they are identical to the PRR Eastern ones only with the instances of 'PRR Eastern Region" and 'PRR EAST REG" in the names changed to 'AmtrakNortheast'. My intent was to possibl re-create modern-day NEC and Pittsburgh Line; however it unfortunately seems this may be impossible due to issues caused by the addition of speedposts in the route editor and it's use. Attached is a log file from ORTS.

This also occurs when modifying speed limits of existing routes without messing with the .trk files or such.

Ah there we go, that worked. Thanks! I'll give this one a try and see if it works.

Edit: Unfortunately when trying to load routes, the program freezes and crashes...

http://koniec.org/tsre5/

Unzip TSRE5_v0.610.zip . Rename TSRE5_v0.6111.exe to TSRE5.exe paste to TSRE5 folder . Edit settings.txt .

I did that, and I continue to get the 'TSRE5 has stopped working' message when it tries to load. From what I can read in the greyed out DOS window the program runs when setting up a route, it says:

[ I ] WS size: 329
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
what<>: std::bad_alloc

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Has anyone gotten this to work with Windows 10?

When I try to open after selecting a route it crashes to the desktop.

Thanks,

Jeff:

Am guessing that your post at TS did not resolve the issue. Just curious about your post at TS (I do not post there any longer) ... your post there was using the MSTS RE correct? Just an FYI, I do not do much with the MSTS RE, but for what it's worth, my Windows 10 test PC does permit to open any of the default routes, and I can go up in elevation, spin about to view, drop down, the normal view stuff. If you need more details about my testbed, email me as I do not want to change the topic of this thread.
