As I recollect, because it was many, many, months ago [it seems like] since I worked on it, that the upgrade included new driver wheels, new chassis frame, upgraded pipework, etc. The wheelsets are not yet textured, a job I hate, but luckily, I just need to texture one properly and then clone it.

Cheers Bazza.

Say, Bazza, didn´t you call that box-cab Gerty, or something like that? I still remember closely following the development thread... ;)

Cheers, Markus

Hi Markus,

I sometimes get a 'brainfart' [remember?] and refer to some character locos by character names. It so hapoens that "Galloping Gerty" was perfect for that particular loco. The rundown, work weary, weatherbeaten, look is true to the single colour photo I found on the net.

There is a certain Goth-waif-like look to her, IMO.

The steamer, I nicknamed The Snuffaloppagus, due to its long Ridgway cinder trap pipe off the stack, with acknowledg(e)ment to the "Seseame Street" character of the same name.

Cheers Bazza.

I remember you used my looped vertical boiler Shay whistle for Gerty. Good to see her back.

Thanks again, Dustin. Finding the whistle amongst other roof mounted clutter on old grainy photos, doesn't usually show much close detail of it. These old diesels date from the very early days of 'gas-oil' [later referred to as diesel] thus, I guess, the familiar compressed air horn was yet to come [citation?]; and steam was still King o' the Road.

Cheers Bazza.
