Oh sure it will, but as it's going to be seventy years earlier it will look different just as Max's Bellows Falls will look differently them mine as it will be 40 years newer.

Then of course, if I ever did the Conn River Main from Springfield, MA to WRJ, during the years of 2008-2014... :bigboss:

But that is only a dream..

Rick, you have no worries. As I said, it's only a dream. I will be lucky if I ever finish my current route project(s)..

Well, if you're asking anyway! A really late '70s or early '80s Conn River Route would be a great runner. Back then GP-7s, 9s, 18s and RS-11s predominated on CVSP from the B&M and CV, with CP C-424s pooled on CPSP. The CV Rockets, Amtrak Montrealer, and GMRC S-4s and RS-1s, and the C&C's 44 tonners at Claremont Junction. Could be fun!

Sorry Paul,

I'm seeing Springfield Union Station in all its glory, B&M, B&A, New Haven....

Of course, I could always get off my duff and learn RE, and .... Nah, not gonna happen ;)

From when the route was single tracked until modern times, things haven't changed a whole lot. B&M's White River Junction yard has been a shadow of it's former self since the 1980's; Windsor VT has no more sidings after about 1990. Neither have lineside structures changed much either, though there are more trees now than there used to be. A 1970's route could be a suitable stand-in for current day in most places.

Pushing the route south from Brattleboro to Springfield makes sense because almost all the trains ran through from Springfield to White River Junction. On the other hand, one must draw a line somewhere. South of Brattleboro had East Deerfield yard, the fascinating industrial district of Holyoke with a spider web of sidings and canals, and (like Rick says) Springfield Union Station, offering the intermingling of B&M, NH and B&A. If you think Bellows Falls was hard, the urbanness of Holyoke and Springfield is even more so.

Christopher

I'm looking forward to eventually working on the real line. ;)

This is something I am looking forward to as well, for MSTS/ORTS
