Refilling with water, coal and diesel oil

I'm finding that the simulator is treating all steam locos as though they were tank engines with the fuel and water intake points in the middle of the boiler. This looks a little funny when stopping at the fuel point and the tank hatch on the tender is 20 meters back?!? Adjusting the "IntakePoint"s in the .eng file has no bearing on the fuel point. Any way to adjust this setting in OR? :clapping:

Far as I am aware the fuel refilling is still a WIP, but I don't know how much progress has been made since refilling was added.

Its possible the offset values have been flipped. Modify the intake values from a negative to a positive. Under MSTS, the negative represented the rear end of the wagon. Under OR, the positive values would represent the rear portion of the wagon and the negative values the front portion of the wagon. If modifying the intake values work, then it proves the values have been flipped.

While there may be a bug that means it is in the wrong place, please to not repeat this statement - it is incorrect. All data in MSTS files must behave as it does in MSTS, especially with respect to the coordinate system. Just because internally we do things differently does not mean the files should be different as well.

I wanted to let you know that I am working on animating the pickup objects. As of V2704, there was a bug that I fixed that prevented the refilling process from working. Its possible it may have worked, but there was no feedback from the screen that would show that the process is taking place. For now, the pickup objects will be animated, but the other items such as the coal load in the tender will not be. The sounds from this process still needs work.

As far as I know all pickup objects should be be handled the same way. My tests with the diesel pump and the water tower are positive at this point, but I will run tests with the other items. This area can still be expanded, but for now I am just concentrating on the animation of the objects. The information that will be used will include the property information that controls the animation speed.
