Jeff, that is a spectacular looking Climax! Where did you get it?

...Nevermind, that's Trainz.

It's someones abandoned alpha release of a three truck climax. It works great in the sim, however it still has errors. I hate how Trainz stores rolling stock. It's not very easily edited. I like how With msts content you can go right into the file and fix a little trouble entry.

That's why I prefer MSTS over the other sims, excluding Open Rails.

How about a diesel powered logger from one of the greatest logging railroads to exist? (well, atleast I think it is) Here McCloud River Railroad Baldwin No. 29 drifts downgrade from with log loads from the Pondosa area to the mill in McCloud.

Anything logging railroad related. I've heard of a few railroads that used diesels for logging. Probably didn't last long. :lol2:

On a fictional logging road that I have (currently on hold due to laptop problems), a GE 65 ton Whitcomb nicknamed "Johnny" is used for backup and MOW power.

Dustin, where did you find a Whitcomb 65 tonner for msts? I didn't think there were any. Those are a favorite engine of mine since I got a cab ride in one around 1982 (on the Maryland Midland Railroad). At the time I think there were only two in operation.

It's actually in the file libary here. It's white and dirty and made by Captain Bazza. It's also a narrow-gauge engine and therefore would be unfitting on a standard gauge route.

An NP Baldwin road switcher proves it's mettle working the logging branches...

After bringing in some fresh timber from the west, the 177 eases a cut of loaded skeletons into the dump passing track,

Then with the two buffer cars and the brain box, runs around the loads,

She reverses and enters the south switch to grab the loads,

And begins the job of unloading at the steam powered dumper (a model by Jon Davis).

Meanwhile the boss is back in the hack, finishing up the paperwork.

Hmm, That's odd; to me I think MSTS far more clunky when it comes to fixing errors! :shock6: Of course that stems from using and getting used to the Content Mangler (as Jim "Sniper297" Ward calls it; yeah, we hijacked 'im from y'all :lol2: )--otherwise known as Content Manager--first. Of course another part of it has to do with the easy, one-click bundling feature that saves everything into a CDP...

oy: okay, Rant-fest over. I will say this though, after N3V/Auran mucked with the steam physics and changed them TS2009 onwards--which proceeded to break darn near all my beautiful steamers, including that lovely 3-trucker climax made by Zapperjet--having to deal with all the 3rd party fixers for all this junk is making my head spin...I think I lied about the rant-fest being over.
