Nice little thread.

High in the mountains, a fresh cut of timber makes its way...

Kelsey Lumber Company (KLCo) is alive and well and taking down the timber in several states. Back in Arkansas we have a standard gauge operation out of St. Paul on the Ozark Northern. Here is the primary engine on that operation, KLCo No. 3, working the loads at Camp 6:

Up in Oregon we have a three foot operation off the Sumpter Valley using KLCo No. 16:

We even have a two foot operation up in Maine connecting with the Bridgton & Saco River. In charge there is KLCo No. 8:

Working the switchbacks in Arkansas:

Taking the skels to the woods in Maine:

I'm taking a break from a big photo restoration job, thought I'd post a few of my own logging line on my Green Creek & Defiance Logging Co.

Here we see our small Shay #2 returning from the log dump with a string of empties.

Further up the line, she's working hard on the 4% grade through a large clear cut.

Tim's NP 485 is being photographed at the logging landing by Darius Kinsey!

Here are a few from Steve's other route and of the Heisler and my new Climax 20 foot North Eastern style log car's. Had to make a trip up to the landing to pick up a few loads but when I arrived they still had a couple to load yet. So I'll get some time to goof off and gaze at the beautiful scenery. These shot's are in Open Rails version 7.

I can see by all the new post's tonight this is going to be a popular thread. And I can see there are plenty of beautiful shot's from several contributors.

Keep them coming.

The Rocky Ridge RR & Lumber Co. is calling for more empties up on the mountain but all locos are busy. The Gypsy had to be called in from the yard to do this task.

Yep, and that's a Roundhouse MDC Climax. :whistling:

I thought I recognized the MDC Shay! Cool!

What a great thread this is, it's good to see all the old timers coming out to post. Nice to see the Oregon Lumber operation too, as well as Kelsey Lumber Co., Rockey Ridge RR & L Co., Green Creek & Defiance, with an appearance of Darius Kinsey to boot! Wow! What great shots you guys!

I have a couple before the sim tanked on me. Never happened before either...anyway, before she went belly up, here's Arrowhead Lumber No.51 bringing in some toothpicks for the mill..

Steam and timber, can't be beat. Although an old Baldwin 12-wheeled diesel in the woods is pretty cool too, although I'd probably get shot for posting a pic of a diesel. :whistling:
