Oh, and another thing, how about a lock for the bell? Like in MSTS you could lock the bell on with the shift key? :oldstry:

Hit the F2 key to save your scenario. Then hit ESC to stop. When the main menu pops up go to the ORTS pull down menu and click resume. Goes right back to where you left off.

Unfortunately after you hit ESC to pause, as MSTS allows you to do, isn't it too late to save? I get bounced to the menu instantly without the option to save (F2). I admit have not tried to save after the ESC dump to the menu just mild swearing and fuming at "doing it again".

Yup!!!!:D Hit the F2 first then the ESC. And If you close OR your scenario is still there upon reopening the program. Don't know about after a computer shutdown however. Will have to experiment with that.
F2 was a save feature in MSTS also. Not just OR. That is not a new option.

Yes, I always save in MSTS with the F2 but the ESC is for coffee gittin' and pee calls as a matter of habit. Who would of thunk' to use ESC to escape from a program?? :oldstry:
Catches me every time! :D

The ESC key behavior is directly related to Open Rails running as an XNA Windows application, OR behaves just like any other Windows application window.

Even after a computer shutdown of a half hour or more I was still able to bring up the last operating session with no problems.
