I made this little re-paint after a request from Dave Nelson for a correction to the GN's paint on the USRA DS 50-ton 40-foot boxcar. I have to admit it looks better than the earlier version already in the library. This car is now available in the file library here at Elvas.

The picture below shows the earlier USRA car on the left, with the 5/5/5 Murphy ends (three panels with 5 ribs each). The later-production 25096 across from it shows the class's 7/8 Murphy end.

A little variety for your steam- and transition-era trains :)

Thanks, you guys, glad you like it. Makes me want to do more freight cars . Wayne, feel free to make a low-poly version for your activities.

More frieght cars sounds good!

And since the BIN patch came along I haven't had any problems - even with a yard full of detailed boxcars. No need for low poly versions - bring on the eye candy.

Thanks

Well, I'm certainly pleased to hear a yard full of these cars are working fine, Wayne; and you're welcome, Bob! :)

Yeah, Dave, I'm counting on it. Let me take care of a couple of other items first, one of which is a USRA single-sheathed boxcar, which many roads ran. I know you want a Pennsy X29 box, right?
