Hey, Capt'n, try dragging around 10 of my high poly Disconnects with that loco of yours to see what kind of FPS you get then.
You're gonna have to stop somewhere to be able to pull freight behind it, aren't you?
Just my thoughts...

New locomotive Project OR K37 The fabulous K37; or the prince in frogs togs.

This phase of the K37 concept testing stage has gone about as far as it needs to. I think very soon it will be time to start on a proper K37.

One matter associated with the project is to test how the ENG performs in Open Rails under the currently physics implimentation (V134). A MSTS version ENG is used and tweaked with data relevant to a Class 37. It includes all specs (that we know of) for the K37, except the overall length, which still matches the K27's dimensions. Also there is a slight difference in the driver wheel diameter, but that's not really important at this stage.
My grateful thanks, as always, to Hadrians, for his valued help and support, as we slog the "K37" up hill to Cumbres Summit from Chamas, on the CTRR.
I have already posted that the test results were better than expected, in fact the equivalent of better than the early days of MSTS. Not all features of the MSTS ENG are operational in OR, so the results were pleasing. There is hope that eventually a stand alone physics ENG for OR will be a distinct possiblity sometime in the future of the project.

Arrrrrrrgh! I knew I overlooked something....the power cable conduit pipework on the cab roof! I'm off to bribe the sparkies to work overtime. http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/discuss_gathering.gif

Okay, okay, this IS the last shape; the plough is an added extra, batteries not included. ;-)
....and so, good folk, once more unto The Hill, I climb,
To reach that state of Open Rails engineering sublime,
Each and every single puff,
Each and every single chuff,
Means either victory, or defeat, on this journey of mine!
Algernon, playing to the gallery, as usual.

I spoke too soon, OR crashed on me (crashed my system) nearly up to Cumbres Summit Pass. I was making prototypical time, too, only another five minutes to go.

I re-ran the section today, and resisted swinging around in the 2 view, and no lockup occured.
I had a good run up the hill, see the Topic Attn Herb, for more information.
I'll do another test run, then fix the lights and 501 should be good to go.
Cheers Bazza
