On the initial screen, at the top, there is a link What's new? -- clicking on this link results in the following message:
Error: Failed to connect to MySQL: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

Thanks for letting us know. This is an issue with all of UKTrainSim, who kindly host the Open Rails website, rather than an issue with the program :)

KC-A.act (newyearsdayv1-02.zip) for BNSF Scenic Sub runs successfully in earlier versions of Open Rails (such as 1.4). This activity has a LOT of AI traffic, coordinated with wait points and double reverse points, but the AI trains behave differently in Open Rails 1.5, resulting in a "traffic Jam" that makes it impossible to complete the activity. I have attached the log file, OpenRailsLog 2022-08-17a.txt (11.73K)
Number of downloads: 196, but I don't think it will be useful in understanding the situation. I have also created a "save pack" ( SavePack 2022-08-17a.zip (589.29K)
Number of downloads: 193) -- I'm hoping this may allow someone to rerun the activity from one of my save points.
While investigating this problem, I encountered another issue -- the simulator crashed when I tried to resume at a point that was 01:00:00 into the activity -- OpenRailsLog 2022-08-17b.txt (14.25K)
Number of downloads: 212
I also encountered another crash when I attempted to resume from a point 00:47:40 into the activity -- OpenRailsLog 2022-08-17-c.txt (18.3K)
Number of downloads: 220
Upon further investigation, by re-running the activity from beginning, I discovered that an AI service (KC-AI-1A) stops just before the siding at Mukilteo, rather than proceeding to the end of its path and disappearing. This may be due to a difference in signaling behavior, as I also noticed that that the AI train took longer to reach that point because it encountered a restrictive signal on route (this does not happen when the activity is run with version 1.4). In the final state, the Dispatcher Information in the Extended HUD shows "NODE EOA" -- for full details, see my screenshot -- Screenshot 2022-08-18a.zip (741.31K)
Number of downloads: 183

Dan Reid

Running one of my known activities from Bodiddly, Zanesville switching.
At the start of the activity I have to build a consist.
While doing the work, one of the switches behind stops responding.
You will notice in the attached picture, that the activity is in manual mode,
You will also notice that the switch monitor is showing the lower switch has a path set,
This set path should not be there, and appears after a particular set of moves.
With no errors in the log and this being a commercial route, how would you like to proceed.
This bug goes back to 2019, so not recent.

Sadly no :-)
The Trello board "Roadmap" indicates the features we hoped our developers would focus on after v1.4. There is indeed a confusing gap between where we are and where we hoped to be, but we are always grateful for the improvements that the team have delivered.
And of course, with practice and feedback, we improve our skills and can tackle the harder tasks.
