Train physics is identical in OR standard and MG version x.4075. So it's not the insertion of MG that generates the behavior you describe.

As it turned out, it was the BR Class 40 D211 eng file that was the issue. Other vacuum-braked engines and vehicles correctly configured work in the MG version just fine. Interesting, though, that the incorrectly-configured eng file works in the OR standard version!

Regards,

David

Wish we could beat the 4 gig limit. I've got 64 gig on my 'spare server' and it would be very cool if I could put everything in memory...for the whole route I'm running!

Rich....

Re physics you can't compare OR MG 4075 with standard OR 1.2. You must compare OR MG 4075 with standard OR 4075. And you'll see the same behavior.

The OR MG version beats the 4 gig limit if it's needed... but it uses much less memory than the standard OR.

Forgive me if this question was already answered. How would one go about installing Monogame to a OR build?

It has been. There is a separate version of open rails for monogame. You just download it and install it and go. You can keep both installations, the monogame version and the regular (so long as you have different root folder names).

Carlo,

Thanks for confirming the compiling issue I reported and fixing it. For a moment I thought I was going nuts :)

Here is the OR Monogame version for x.4141
[Deleted. Download updated version here http://www.elvastowe...post__p__237323
As always, it may be unpacked in a separate folder in the computer and is ready-to-run. The standard and the Monogame version can co-exist (obviously in separate folders).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the source patch for people wanting to autonomously build OR
Attached File  Monogame_4141.zip (53.61K)
Number of downloads: 392
As always in this case also the Monogame .dll files are needed. They are made available here, and must be unpacked in a "MonoGame" folder to be added within Source\3rdPartyLibs
Attached File  MonoGame.zip (1.1MB)
Number of downloads: 421
