The copy right issue does not matter as the Google images are great as a template but the limitation of the Google images color range produced looks terrible.
It is very obvious from the above picture.

Hi Goku,

It's a bit frustrating when you post a picture of what looks to be a really great feature but without a clue as to how to accomplish it.
Not even a reference to a location in the manual?
exaample:
1.select .... tool
2. set width
3. set .......
4. .....
and so on.
If you post detailed instructions more folks will choose your editor because you made it easy for them.

Great, Goku. Usually not nice to be seen very near the track, but I used that on the Bernina route for standard terrain at a distance of, let's say, 100 m from tracks with good results, especially for mountains. I needed to make complicated work with Mosaic and a painting program to get a smooth switch from satellite image to standard textures. With your tools I think I'd use only a tenth of the time I used.
For desertic terrain probably it can be successfully used also near the track.
Goku, what do you foresee for distant mountains (generation and texturing)?

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can now add some new tiles I was wanting to, but dreaded going through the MSRE, DEMEX, Solution for Real Terrain process.

I agree the manual does need upgrading with better detailed instructions. Im sure this will come down the road at some point but would be nice to see a updated manual whenever a new release is put out that way all functions is being released at the same time.

TSRE isn't able to edit tiles other than 2x2 km.

Auto painting is possible not only on track objects, but on ruler objects too. Easy way to paint lines and other shapes:
