Hi all!
I've noticed this several times, both on my own routes and others. Other route builders have also brought it to attention. Transfers seems to not work completely in ORTS, only about half of them actually shows! I'm rather sure this is a known issue, can we expect a fix in the future?

Oddly enough you have to enter the size you want the transfer to be when you place it in Route Editor but OR can not read that and produces a smaller version of the transfer that may or may not be the same shape... I've never understood this.

I've reached a point where I don't bother with transfers except where I "punch out" terrain. I use Mosaic most of the time now.

Strange, I've not heard this before. Could you give some clear examples where this is the case, ideally with MSTS screenshots and in-box routes?

Yes, transfers that are used to paint terrain are always z fighting with the terrain, or some parts are disappear.

However i don't think that transfer is a good solution to paint more details on terrain.

I'd hate to lose transfers as I find them perfect for creating streams and waterfalls!

Hi Steve,

Every transfer used in the DAR route or any of my route are not the same size and some are not even close toe the same shape in OR compared to what they are in MSTS. I've used transfers for creeks in all my routes in the last eight years and now when the routes are opened up in OR the creeks appear to be the same width but have gaps between each transfer. Farm fields that cover large areas in MSTS are either noticeably smaller in OR and/or oddly shaped.. Think part of this has to do with overlapping textures, they may be the same texture used to create an irregularly shaped field and where the textures overlap instead of OR drawing them they just go clear and show the terrain that is underneath.

Can take a few comparative screen shots if you think that would help.

Paul :-)

Hello!

I encounter some big holes on at least two routes, just in tunnel entrances.
I have two good exemples of these problems.

1- On the SOB (Südostbahn), near Arth-Golbau. You can see a big hole with an house over this.

2- In my route Quebec - Charlevoix - I have the same problem with the two tunnels like this one.

On the other side of the tunnel, when you change the angle of the camera, the hole disappears and an other one appears, or the texture seems instable. In the upper right you can see a little window with the coordinates of the problem.

But, I ask on a french forum, if other users of OR encounter the same problem and I received few responses and only by the owners of the ATI Radeon graphic cards, like me.
I have an ATI Radeon 4300 series (little bit old) and have many flickering pictures when I play also with transfer textures. My interrogation is: Is it a bug of OR or a bug caused by the ATI Radeon cards?

You can download these two routes (Swiss & Canadian) on the ASW site here:
http://www.activitys...a_Ligne_SOB.htm
http://www.activitys...-Charlevoix.htm

I have these problems since long time ago, before the version 0.9 and maybe the 0.8. But any body seems to have these troubles.

A+

ATI Readon card? I have a Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 6870. Do you think it might be the graphics cards that is the reason?
