Frank,
thank you for the Centipede light and facelift and the great effort in your UP repair shops! Now my Centipede shines brightly coming along Cajon
One more question: There are UP999 files in the UP998 folder too. But in UP998.con and Sim both Centipede units are numbered 998. Right? Trying to include the UP999 eng files freezes my act editor. Is it possible to make a consist 999 ?

999 is there because the UP ordered two Dr-12-8-3000's. Had the UP not cancelled the order the locomotives would have been numbered 998 and 999. Whether the UP would have run the locomotives together is anybody's guess. Only the Pennsy ran the Centipedes in drawbarred pairs with one number, essentially making each pair one 6000 HP articulated diesel. The other major purchasers, SAL and NdeM ran thing as single 3000 HP units.

Considering Union Pacifics penchant for huge motive power, it's not beyond reason that 998 and 999 would have been run as a pair. 6000 HP sounds like typical UP practice.

999 that you find in the folder was never revised. I just fixed 998. Having said that I'm currently working on updating the 999 files with the fixes I made to 998.
