Even thought the only Canadian National steam locomotives that are available at Train-Sim are either as small one or in the Strausburg markings, I still used some imagination for this one. I took Grand Trunk Western (now Ohio Central) 4-8-4 Northern 6325 (from Train-sim) for the lead locomotve for a run on Maple Leaf Track's newest route the Canadian National Bala Subdivision ( I figured that GTW is related to CN). I used some streamline CN passenger cars (in the 1950's livery) from Valleypass freeware and some CN heavyweights from train-sim to make up the train.
1. Here is 6325 in the morning hours in the suburbs of Toronto.
2. Now steaming past the suburb of Lanstaff.
3. Noe it is in Richmond Hill after passing the GO staition.
4. Now outside of the Toronto area, it cruises past Quaker.
5. Now it's in Pine Orchard.
6. Zephyr.
7. Pefferlaw.
8. Smail.
9. Wasago.
10. Near the end of the line at Sparrow Lake.
It's a very neat route I hope to do more screenshots with other trains.

I painted up a roster of CN steamers last year including some locos that spent an extended period on evaluation from the SNCF.
If anyone is interested I will post some pics.

Here's some Canadian National, Grand Trunk Western and Central Vermont in my favorite paint scheme.
The models are "Richard Cowens" GP9's and an FP9 in the lead. The freight cars are by Tim Muir. The
repaints are my home brew for my own use. The route is "SANDPATCH" by MLT. No. Their not steam.
But I love this paint scheme.
Allen

If any of you noticed, GTW 6325 is a reskin of SP&S 700. I have also have both CB&Q Northerns and an earlier released Santa FE 3571 that were done as repaints of SP&S 700 (all are available at Train-Sim).

The RF&P for a small RR had some big steamers. I have lost the website ref I had for photos showing a lot of the details between the different "Governors and Generals" Lima 4-8-4s. I will be painting an early and a late one later this winter. In the meantime a photo from a set I haven't lost and a CN 4-8-4 I did last winter

It's a bummer that the RF&P would scrap those fine looking Northerns. I hope that someone would make one for MSTS.

That's a great looking lead engine, Allen. Too bad it's just a home brew.

Some day when I have time I will finish her. The nose isn't quite right yet as the green needle strip
needs to be widened up near the wind shield. If I finish the set I'll put them up in the download area.
I got Richards permission to do so quite a while ago but then got involved with other things.
