Nov10.....8AM....after a 3 year restoration..Sac Northern's 2-8-0 #2714 is ready for her first run

at 8;10 AM....josh bearden, steam operator for the Sac Northern slowly pulled his locomotive out of the locomotive workes in Grove city

as we snap photos of 2714, we happen to get one of the main line units that pull trains over the Sac Northern line

after throwing the switch...josh moves his locomotive back to the sanding tower to fill her up for the days trip

soon it was time to head off....with fire man Di'Mario aboard the locomotive makes its way past SN #441

soon we are stopped at the yard office to pick up the train orders

next were some empty hopper cars and then it was time to get going

comeing off the wye, josh and his locomotive have some mowing to get done

Josh supplys plenty of power as he pulls his train hard up the hill out of grove city

fire men Di'Mario puts on thick black smoke as the train powers up the hill

soon the train got out of town and we are able to get a good shot of josh's private boxcar behind his locomotive

we then left the train while we set up at the grade crossing to wait for #2714 to pass

How does one take screenshots in MSTS? Is it built into MSTS? or do I need to go DL Fraps?

And yes, nice looking shots.

Your Print Screen key will take a PCX screen capture in MSTS. It will save the files in the root MSTS directory. If you want to share those, you will have to convert them to JPG format before uploading into a post. If you don't have an image viewing program that will do the conversions, do a search for Infranview. It's a free image viewer/utility program.
