The Colorado & Southern had twelve (12) 4-wheel Cabooses (#1000 - #1011) that were rebuilds of "Way Cars" from
the predecessor railroads, like the DSP&P. They were rebuilt over a period of years and no two cars were exactly
alike. Some were "short" at 13'-3" and some were "long" at 15'; some had the cupola on the A-end, some had the
copula on the B-end, and #1002 was the lone center-cupola. Each Caboose had different details, like window
arrangement, steps, grabs, roofwalks, and letering.

Caboose #1000 is a "long" (15-foot) caboose with the Cupola on the A-end. It's provided to run either
Cupola-to-Front ("A"-End Forward) or Cupola-to-Rear ("B"-End Forward), and you have your choice of the #5 view,
a Cupola View (great for viewing the Colorado scenery and the train ahead), or a Conductor (inside) View.
