You may find that TOC railroading is fascinating. I know I did. I got bit by the TOC'er bug some 15 years ago?? (Oh my God... more like TWENTY FIVE years ago????)

I guess part of my appreciation is a holdover from model railroading, perhaps, but you really do get "more bang for the buck" with TOC/TOCng. That is, smaller equipment, shorter trains, more frequent trains, micro-industries abound, "boomtown" atmosphere, logging, mining, etc, etc!!

So, yes, there are many aspects I like, but one of my favorite asects is the equipment. Simplistic steam engines, truss rod rolling stock, and so on. For those inclined, a request was made at my VSC forum to see some of the equipment that will be provided with the Ozark Northern. This thread is the result:
