I actually wanted to thoroughly test the previous version to understand if everything was working properly, and in fact I had actually noticed this problem of corruption of the TDB file, starting with the disappear of the signals and others interactive items, (it is always sacred to have backups)

Anyway, happy to hear it's fixed, i will test it, thanks!

Yes there is. Unfortunately i didn´t had a recent backup from the TDB file. Trying to fix it with route riter but with no luck.

I know what it means to lose months and months of changes, unfortunately the corruption of the TDB file can only lead to a serious malfunction of the route, but it doesn't mean that everything is lost... it happened to me several times and I solved it with various tricks.

You could try some remedies by doing:

1- Rebuild the track plan from 0 and reselect each single track one by one, also eliminating the signals and interactive elements

2- create a new scenario and import only the .W and Tiles files, in this way it will be enough to manually select the track plan, and a new TDB file will be created, clean, obviously, signals and interactive must be put back

Try to open the route using TSRE 7.012 and save it -- I was able to recover my TDB used to replicate the corruption.

1. Open the route in the older version
2. Save the route
3. Attempt to open in OpenRails to see if it is recovered

There is a track database reorganization function that wasn't working correctly and leaving numerical gaps in the TDB, and that resulted in more TrackNodes being expected than were actually present. That was causing problems in OpenRails. The TDB itself shouldn't have been damaged aside from the number sequences needing to be rebalanced.

Hi Eric,

I was coming to say that. I opened the route with 7.012 and saved it and it looks the issue is gone :)

Thank you so much.

Glad to know. The problem does not appear to persist in version 8.004b

TSRE v8.004c has been released on Trainsim in the testing thread. Use with caution.

This version attempts to fix include files...

I have one question related to textures.

When i place a signal, it doens´t show the texture of that signal in TSRE but it shows in OR. There is any setting that i need to change to see the texture in TSRE?

Are you asking about the red/green/yellow lighting or the texture on the shape itself?

The lighting is part of the ORTS code.
