Symbolic links are powerful. Once you open that door, you open a lot of possibility.
Only problem is if you copy your files and folders, the symbolic links don't get copied. So if you change hard drives or something, the symbolic links are lost. Not a problem to re-create if you only have a few - but a big loss if you went wild with them . . . as I did. You can copy them with a script, but it is a troublesome extra step (s).
