I'm going to mention here for those who don't frequent TrainSim...

Last week, one of our new members posted a step by step on installing NetBeans and QT.

Five of us have now been able to clone, build, and run TSRE. I've been able to execute some code changes and tweaks as well, so the process is indeed replicable.

Changing the height of the yellow TSection lines to match the clearance height for my route:

Adding the Custom Detail Level (Static Detail Level) for Signals:

Rather than split the conversation, please feel free to participate over at TrainSim so the person who made this possible can benefit from the feedback. There's a lot of troubleshooting and debugging from the post below to the end.

We now have a 64 bit version compiled and it appears to be portable for others to use....

Two questions Eric: Is there a location one can go to download the 64 bit executable? Is there anyone you know of who would be willing to carry this ball further downfield and take in submissions of known bugs as well as wanted features and maybe try to deal with a few of them?

Here's the updated 64 bit version --- it now appears to handle DDS textures

Eric,. any chance of increasing the width of delectable tile edges? It's quite difficult to do on a 4k monitor.

What's the context? I'm not sure what you meant by delectable tiles but I assume it was really detectable tiles?

Hello.

Thank you very much for the work done. I tried it and I really like it. I am already starting to propagate it among Hungarian track builders.
Keep it up.
The black cube is a bit strange, its constant activation, but I'll get used to it. Many people don't even know that this is a good setting. I was already able to fix many errors with it on the old MSTS routes.

Sincerely, Laci1959

Typo. Select-able tile edges. You recently changed their color (thank you). IIRC the lines are 1 pixel wide, terribly thin in a 4k monitor. Would be be possible to do, oh, something on the order of 5-10 pixels to the inside of a tile? That way there is no overlap between tiles and the lines would be thicker. If leaning inward isn't possible than thicker would be better if two adjacent tiles were selected.
