Checking through
Thanks for that.

To make sure that we are aligned.

The ENG file in version 2 of the NS pack has the following section in it for the dynamic load:

  ORTSFreightAnims (
	WagonEmptyWeight( 381660lb )
	EmptyORTSDavis_A ( 1840 )
	EmptyORTSDavis_B ( 35.7 )
	EmptyORTSDavis_C ( 4.0 )
	EmptyCentreOfGravity_Y ( 1.5 )

  FreightAnimContinuous (
	FreightWeightWhenFull( 38340lb )
	ORTSDavis_A ( 1749 )
	ORTSDavis_B ( 56.7 )
	ORTSDavis_C ( 4.0 )
	FullCentreOfGravity_Y ( 1.7 )
  )
)

Can you firstly unpack the NS stock to a temporary new folder, and confirm that the above code is in the ENG file. Then I would suggest removing all references to the NS pack in your testing route, and then re-installing it. Then check that the ENG file contains the above. Then run it and see what result you get.

Okay got there. There were two different versions of ctn_test_model_norfolk_southern_v2.exe (The latest one does not have a different version number to the earlier one).
I now have the same as you. With normal fuel consumption the mass does decrease at a steady rate of about 0.4t-uk per hour.
