I have added a patch that hopefully should come through in a couple hours time to the Unstable version which I hope fixes the fault when operating in Simple Adhesion.
Can you please confirm the fix?
Thanks

Peter, the locomotive starts correctly, however, if I put the reverser in reverse while the locomotive is slowly running forwards and the regulator is > 0, the locomotive continues accelerating forward instead of reducing speed to zero and running backwards.

I confirm that - long-time problem for me.

I have the ATSF 4-8-4 working in ver. U2024.01.03-0423. Works in forward and reverse correctly. In NYMG 149.2 the same consist will not move, throttle and regulator both at full.

Thanks Peter, I confirm that the issues I raised have been solved in the actual Unstable release.

I've been watching the discussion on " Locomotive Creep " and there has been no mention of the fact that steamers have never had a (True 0% } Neutral 0f the Cutoff function . You either have 0% forward or 0% Reverse - - depending on the previous direction that was used . Resulting in a " Creep " if the throttle is advanced and brakes have not been applied . The ENG file entry " Cutoff " has 2 " Neutrals "- forward & Reverse .
Am I correct ?
Just a thought !
