Hello, Jan.
Please, note that SR1 is 25kV AC with cruise control.
"Sr" abbreviation is "sähkoveturi raskas", what means "electrohauler heavy". Or "sähko rüssya" (electric russian) unofficially. While more modern SR2 is produced by some European vendor, likely Siemens, or Alstom.
I use terms "two sectioned" and "two cased". The second example fits to ВЛ10 and ET42, as different appliance is being placed into case 1 and case 2, hence complete locomotive will be assembled only by connecting these two cases together by means of many-many cables and hoses. For making 3 sections, instead of coupling two ВЛ10 together, getting four, ВЛ11 was designed for DC and ВЛ80с (couplable) - for AC electrification systems. Though, all AC ВЛ80 modifications, as well as either of ВЛ11 sections have complete set of equipment to work as a standalone locomotives.
For Armenia, Tbilisian plant built two-cabbed version of ВЛ11 sections after 1990.
As well, as ВЛ40у are standalone AC section with two cabs, designed mostly for Ukraina.
Instead of coupling too many 4-axle sections together, ВЛ85 and ВЛ15 were introduced for AC and DC systems respectively.
Each of two ВЛ15's sections was equivalent to doubled 4-axle section of ВЛ10(11)
