Hi. When I try to compress an uncompressed shape file with SFM, I get a "Compress Failed to Complete - File not updated [ Object error ]" message.

The shape file in question is not read-only, my path to the FFEDIT is correct, so what gives?

If it's an sd40 shape file, it has an error in it.

You can try Archibald or Zipper.
Be caution, 'Microsoft .Net Framework v1.1' is required.

I just now tried it but I get a "Component COMDLG32.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" message when I try to compress my shape file.

When I click on the link from the Steam4Me page I get a "file not found" error message.

So...now what do I do? :furiousPC: :censored2: :wallbash: :ireful2:

It's my own Challenger Articulated Test Model, its tender and associated shapes, and its 3D cab.

It's available here if you want to try it for yourself.

The TK_Uitls Package is also on Train-Sim.com, as tk_utils.zip

I have managed to compress all the shapes of the locomotive except the one in the cab that gives an error. It also gives an error when trying to view the cab in Shape Viewer.
If you want me to send you the compressed shapes, let me know.

I looked at the Cab shape file in Notepad++ and it seems to have a large number of animations (143), most of which have no animation controllers. Shape Viewer gives an out of memory error. I wonder whether the number of animations is a problem?
