Outside testing of the major versions here, I only use Carlo's ORMG.

Same as Derek. I like using reshade.

That makes three of us...any others?

I too normally only use ORMG with the advantage that framerates are limited to 60 and as the way I've set everything up I get slightly better performance. So far I've not managed to set up reshade.

Like other members I do visit the forums nearly every day but I don't post very often, mostly because I don't have anything to add to what's already been said.

Regards,

Stephen

Yes, primarily for reshade . . .

Hm... More and more looks like a wish list of "what is most desired to be added to official release of 1.5 version from NYMG" for satisfying of advanced users.
In opposite, I'm sadly, not inclined to use NYMG, because of fault in gettext/localization *.dll compiling process, though I welcome all benefits, provided to us by Carlo's huge efforts.

As Chris mentioned, I have some up-to-date stats on the usage of Open Rails official versions

The usual disclaimers apply about these stats:

Very pleased that James has now restored the statistics page on the website, so it is updated automatically and goes back 9 years to 2014.
You can drag the time axis to see the whole timespan and the growth in numbers over that period.

Attached Image: 2023-12-02 10_48_50-Statistics - Discover - Open Rails — Mozilla Firefox.jpg

You can also see what fraction of users are on the Unstable and Testing versions and I see that about a third of users fail to upgrade to the latest version.

(Already mentioned on this thread is that only official versions of Open Rails are reported, not ORMG.)

I think it is about time that Carlo's efforts should be officially recognised.

The majority of bugs that I have found have been fixed by Carlo, and fed back into the official version.
